Usage Notes and Tips
Signing Up
I signed up with Huobi Singapore in March 2022. After creating an account with my email, I needed to fill up my particulars to complete my profile. This process took roughly 10 mins. I needed to provide my:
- current employer name
- recent telco bill to prove my residence address
- NRIC front and back photos
I thought all was done after completing my profile, but I still needed to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This was completed via Jumio. It required me to upload my NRIC again which is quite frustrating as I just did it a couple of minutes ago when completing the user profile.
Note: For the Jumio KYC, I tried to upload my NRIC (front and back) from my desktop computer and complete the selfie on my mobile but that is not possible. It has to be done on the same device.
My KYC documents were submitted around mid March 2022 and took around one week to be approved.
